I believe that growth happens through a collaborative process. My approach is tailored to meet the particular goals and needs of my clients' by integrating solution-oriented, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based approaches.
Many people come to therapy at times of transition, to work through interpersonal conflicts and relationship issues, or when they simply feel stuck. I partner with my clients to establish treatment goals and to identify and build on their coping skills. My specialties also include working with people experiencing depression, anxiety and suffering from the effects of trauma.
I am certified and offer EMDR, an interactive and structured treatment of trauma and other adverse life experiences. Within EMDR, I can utilize Ego State Therapy or "parts work", with the goal of helping your wounded parts heal, create harmony between all parts of the self and restoring mental and emotional balance.
I am also trained in Brainspotting, which is another excellent tool in the treatment of trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety and depression.
I am currently also teaching DBT Skills both individually and in groups.
